FN-GM Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Hi We are looking into setting up Asterisk, can you recommend me a supplier for SIP phones please? Thank you
localzuk Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 We bought ours through European Electronique. We bought Grandstream GXP-2000's but I would advise you to buy more expensive handsets, such as Snom, Polycom or Aastra. Another good supplier is voipon.co.uk.
plexer Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I'll check where I bought them tomorrow but I've got Linksys SPa-942's here. Ben
powdarrmonkey Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I have all my kit from voipon.co.uk. Bought a batch of Granstream Budgetone 100s, which are ok for a budget, but I'd recommend something in the Aastra series. I also had a Digium TDM01B from them to tie in to our regular system which has been great, but needs the echo cancelling tweaking a bit which you can do in Asterisk. I run asterisk too, be interested to hear how you get on with it.

I had a Grandstream IP phone at home for a while, and it wasn't the best. It was a more basic one than localzuk had, but although it worked, it had annoying foibles. Also, the AC adaptor gave up after about 6 months too which was a pain.
CSNM-Carl Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 We use Voipfone, currently using the Snom 300: Voipfone - Plug & Go Product Listing
