Mailmerged letter import to Students linked documents

Hi,

 

Is there a way you can run a report for a mail-merged letter and then have that letter be linked to each of the students instead of having to save each individual letter and import manually?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming your are using SIMS then the Assessment Manager Individual Reports have the option to upload to the DMS when you merge them.

I'm aware ofthis feature but we want to upload all letters that are sent outto parents including school trips and other communication the school needs to send. I'm guessing there is no way of doing this?

There is no bulk routine in SIMS to do this but there are 3rd party products which will process electronic files and attach them to student records' linked documents. One I'm aware of is DMSA and I' sure there will be others out there.

You can do letters via an individual report for groups of students, these can be uploaded to linked documents. For individual letters you can use quick letter.
