Dell Configurator Tool

Hi,

 

I'm using the Dell Configurator Tool to create a custom executable to standardize the BIOS settings across all our computers in our institution - however, I cannot seem to find the correct option to set specifically to remove the onboard NIC from the boot device selection. What I am trying to achieve, is the onboard NIC option is still available in the F12 menu, but it requires the BIOS password to boot from it - obviously if it's ticked, then the password requirement is bypassed.

 

Can anyone shed light on this?

I find the easiest thing to do is to get a reference system, configure the bios/uefi settings as you want, then use the 'Local System Package' option within Dell Command and Configure to capture the settings from the local machine. I've successfully used this way to stop booting from anything other than the local HDD without entering a password. As I only have a couple of different models I do it on a per model basis (but looking at the DCC manual there is an option to create a multiplatform package too)
