Microsoft Exchange: Users are not listed/shown in distribution lists

Good afternoon,

 

I am having trouble trying to configure a distribution list to show new users however, when I add them, they are not showing up.

 

I have force updated exchange and nothing has changed.

 

If you have any ideas to share, it will be much appreciated.

Hi RigiditySpoon,

 

welcome to edugeek,

switch the client out of cached mode then update the address book.

as the address book is typically only synced with clients once a day.

this includes address lists and Distribution Groups.

Do you mean on our exchange management console on our server or, on our computers with outlook because when I do it on the computer, I lose my distribution groups?

it would be on the computer for outlook.

but with you losing the distro groups sounds like somthing has gone wrong on the address book policy.

are you using a custom address book policy?
