Permissions for SharePoint Online / WebDav

Hi all;

 

We are in the stages of migrating most of our departmental data and Home drives onto Azure. We are using a WebDav application to map drives in Explorer to make staff feel comfortable using the system as they know and love.

 

I'm aware that transferring NTFS permission folders and files to SharePoint Online actually flattens all the security so cant have nested permissions like NTFS

 

How are you changing or adapting to security for folders if you are transitioning to SharePoint?
