boomam Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hi. Can someone help me with MS Access. Im trying to create a basic database that has one table/form for pupils, one for incidents, and then all the incidents that that pupil is involved in listed on that pupil form. With the 'menu' form on the database allowing editing of pupil information and editing of incidents. Its basically something to log incidents that specific pupils do, with the ability to see what incidents each pupil has done by just looking at their name. Can anyone help me with this?
rush_tech Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 (edited) I'm no expert but how about looking here maybe there is a template there that would do the job Theres even more in the 2007 tempates Edited April 11, 2008 by rush_tech 1

srochford Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Take a look at the sample Northwind database. You should be able to do something based on one of the example forms in there. Basically what you want is a form with a sub-form; this allows you to have (eg) customer details at the top and order details (more than 1 per customer!) at the bottom
boomam Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Already looked at that. Gonna wait to see what powdarrmonkey can conjure up for me. .
boomam Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Im having a few problems with the database that powdermonkey has made me. I can add incidents, and it does save them, but it wont let me add new pupils for some reason? Can anyone fix it for me? And possibly fix/remove/add the menu buttons ive made, like the save ones? Thanks in advance all. .incidents.zip
