Removing Windows 10 Apps

Hi All,

 

I know this has been asked countless times but I still have not managed to find a way that works for us. I completely understand that these apps should be removed before creating an image, but unfortunately, this was not done in our scenario.

 

I have various powershell scripts that remove apps and which work fine when manually run on a PC. How do I go about deploying this via Group Policy? Login scripts does not seem to work for me, but I can't seem to think of any other way of doing it.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you can remove a provisioned app once it has been installed into a user's profile - it has to be removed from the user's profile first. With clients out in the wild that have had users already log into them and have had their local profiles created this creates an issue. To further compound this a lot of these Modern Apps will return if the clients ever pull down a Creators Update. My information might be out of date though, I've been on LTSB this entire school year.

You can run a script in the user context. Remove-appxpackage think. You could do it as a scheduled task.
