Well it looks like that thread has been locked now anyway... I assume it's because the original poster put the word 'Beta' in the thread title. So might as well put the link to the page where it is hosted, and the most important comment here.

Yes, we all know that it would have been better if it had come sooner, but I'm sure most of you that are already complying to the DPA will be reassured that you have been doing the right thing.

 

The document has been passed by lawyers and ICO so it's a very good foundation now.

 

The message is clear - May 25th is the start, not the conclusion. Compliance is subjective and by demonstrating that you are doing something is a huge step towards this.

 

Feedback is invited. I hope you will help.

 

Just typing some words to make this easy to find, including a common typo... GDPR GDRP DPA Data Department For Education ICO Information Commissioner's Office ... Ok, I think that will do.

I think you mean http://www.edugeek.net/forums/data-protection-information-handling/195337-dfe-data-protection-toolkit.html. The one you linked was the one I linked to in the second post and quoted to in the third. There have been multiple threads yesterday about this, some deleted, which makes it a little confusing.
