Getting autocad to work with redirected profiles

Has anyone been able to get autocad to work with users that have redirected my documents?

At our place, I haven’t installed it personally but AFAIK it is working. What issue are you having and I’ll see it happens at our place?

if a normal user tries to open it they get a "error 1324 the path my pictures is invalid".

Looking at the autodesk forum they suggest redirecting the profile to the local drive by changing the registry keys. But this just sound daft to me.
