shared ipads: is there any way to clean or free-up iMovie "files" from full iPad

I have removed nearly all the pics and iMovie clips, but the iPad says that iMovie is taking up 5 or 6GB.

 

Pupils say that they cannot record clips as the iPad is full, but I have deleted nearly everything - everything that *I can see*. How do I see and kill all the hidden iMovie clip fragments to actually free up space? Or is the only solution to wipe the iPad totally and reinstall the apps?

Have you tried clearing all the projects from iMovie?

 

You could delete and reinstall iMovie. That should clear anything being stored within the app without needing to wipe the iPad.

Also have you emptied the deleted items album in the photos app?
