ADFS + Chromebook SSO

Got to a bit of a dead end on this one. I'm testing out a chromebook, added one license to our google admin portal and one chromebook sat on my desk.

 

I've got ADFS setup, I can login to a google account using SSO within chrome on a windows desktop without issue. On the chromebook I've setup the device settings for SSO and i get the "This device is managed by domain.net, please click next to continue signing in to your domain.net account" but when i click next i get a very plain login exerpeicene, box appears saying "Authentication required" "https://sts.domain.net" username password etc. When i enter [email protected] and password it does nothing, just gives me the blank login box again, stuck in a loop.

 

I've tried all sorts of usernames and passwords for differing users, nothing seems to authenticate. Is this an ADFS issue, or a google issue? I need some suggestions as i've got stuck! >_<
