Finger touch counts as double click

Hi,

We have a number of the V5 4K 75" screens and some teachers are experiencing an issue where when they use their finger to touch the screen it is counting as a double tap in ActivInspire.

So when flipping forward pages, it flips two rather than one page.

When trying to access the menus, they cannot as the double click is opening and then closing the expandable menu instantly.

This is very frustrating, but does not appear to be affecting every user.

If the affected teacher uses the supplied stylus, ActivInspire works as it should.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi jon_nais,

This is something that cropped up an older version of ActivInspire.

The issue is caused by Windows when the ActivPanel is turned on AFTER ActivInspire has started.

Windows sends x2 inputs into ActivInspire, newer versions of ActivInspire are configured to ignore the second input.

 

Can you confirm that you are running at least ActivInspire v2.9 or above. If it is, you will need to log with the support team so that they can start the process to get the issue raised with the development teams.

 

If your teachers turn the ActivPanel on first, before the computer, they should not see this issue.
