Good luck!

Bin that and get PaperCut MF, it does all that plus more in one product.

Doesn't really answer my question @MatthewL - I am not looking for another product. Your suggestion isn't helpful either as I cannot just 'bin that'.

as all 3 services do loads of stuff...what bit are you having trouble with? what are you using GCP for over what EOP can offer? are you just using pcounter to track the jobs from EOP?

to offer any help going to need some actual info.

We use EOP as a bolt on to pCounter. We were told it was the interface sofware to use between our Chromebooks and our accounting solution. Our Chromebooks print out from their dedicated wifi network to GCP whilst our pCounter/EOP server sits on our curriculum network.

I've followed the instructions to get the server talking to GCP on the correct port but our test printer is showing as offline - even though it is clearly not.

So - when the Chromebook prints - nothing happens.

More testing tomorrow as the LEA have tweaked some firewall settings.

I know what you say but PCounter is such a dated product, been there myself with it and bit the bullet to move to PaperCut due to so many issues with a product that has next to no development in the last 10 years.

Presume you have EOP with the connect license?

If its just your GCP going offline you need to ensure that server can talk to talk.google.com on UDP 5222 I think it is. There has been an GCP issue over the last week or so which I believe is due to be fixed later on this week.

I would agree, if the printer shows offline then i doubt it has anything to do with pcounter or EOP.

Might be worth looking at papercut in the future (as mentioned earlier) it will probably make this process easier.

Like I said there has been an issue with GCP, not sure on the status of it but there has been issues where lots have lost connectivity with it, thinking it was a local firewall issue when in fact in was Google.

Best way is to telnet to talk.google.com using the likes of Putty and see if you can connect, will help diagnose issues.
