What I thought should be a simple question, I can't seem to find the right person to answer - I can see fleeting mentions of it in various places......

 

SIMS API - is there one?? Is it something schools can have access to for a suitably skilled person to use?? Thanks.

Search for CommandReporter.

 

It allows you to export reports as CSV or XML then do what you like with them.

If you want more flexible / traditional web-based API access, then Wonde's School Sync API client can abstract the data into something more universally usable - see https://docs.wonde.com/docs/api/1.0 and their PHP SDK at https://github.com/wondeltd/php-client

Have a look at Assembly It's a third party who extract your SIMS (or other MIS) data and give it back to you as an API. I can't vouch for them as I have never used them.
