Managing mail lists

Hi there,

 

Our school uses a very archaic, manual system of managing lists of contacts etc for the purpose of mail shots (physical and electronic) and I would like to know what other schools do to manage such things.

 

We use iSAMS for our MIS if that helps.

When we actually want a nice html newsletter / mailshot? Mailchimp free tier.

We use SchoolPost for general parent comms and Mailchimp for newsletters etc - I previously used PHPList but mailchimp is so much better. Since introducing our secretary to mailchimp I've not had to touch it at all vs converting and sending our newsletter myself every week for years beforehand!

 

SchoolPost has recently announced a partnership with iSams for closer integration - we use it with Sims.net and its pretty flawless from handling pre-admissions groups, user defined groups as well as the usual year/reg/class groupings

Schoolcomms. Synchronises daily with SIMS, includes class and year groups from SIMS plus the ability to manually create them. Lots of other nice features too, such as emailing timetables, simple way of contacting parents of absent children and more.
