Going to switch from MRBS 1.7.1 to 1.4.8 to see if that works

we're currently using 1.6.1 of MRBS... hadn't looked for an update recently... i'm a bit of an 'if it ain't broke...' person..!

Just installed 1.5.0 and import now works - just need to tweek something as some lessons are being booked after school - will pull down 1.6.1 and have another play ;D

Glad you got it working, even if it needs a minor tweak... i probably spent a week in all getting the first import to work, most of that was with the mangling in Excel... mind you... got to know the inner workings of excel quite well...

Got the 1.3 version import working ok now and imports correctly

 

Looking at the 1.4 import version seems to want to submit everything to the same period

Ours is built in feature of edulink. Made a massive difference.

"managed to get MRBS installed and running with AD Authentication " - I have never manged to make it authenticate using ldap. Only imap worked with now obsolete exchange 2010.

How did you make it work? I have mrbs running on linux server, but after old exchange has been replaced with 2016, no way I could make it work with either imap, pop3 or ldap. Upgraded to latest version, 1.71, but that has not helped. Looked everywhere for key settings in config.inc.php, used bind creds, about to give it up completely, in favour of something that's supported better. Open source is as good as long as one has enough time, or luck but has its limitations.
