That sounds like quite a large number of columns, does all the data need to be on one template? would it be better served across different marksheets? when the marksheet loads it is having to retrieve the results from the background database for all columns so you will find it take a while, especially if you are pulling data for the whole year.

Agree completely is a large number of Columns although this seemed to be ok until recently. Is just the way the previous Data Manager has built the Marksheets and don't if I can help it touch this as they are still looking to appoint a new Data Manager and the LEA are helping us out for now. Was just the fact it seemed ok till recently a little slow but not to bad but now to open a Marksheet for the full year can take 15 minutes in the day when everyone is in is only 30 seconds to a couple of minutes if I run it first thing before Staff are in.

Also if one of the columns in %Attendance it will slow down while it calculates.

Another good point it is just that it did seem ok until recently and also makes sense as seems ok first thing when no one is in but when registers are being done can take upto 15 minutes to run whole year Marksheet.

You could always try running the reindex patch over the SIMS database to see if that can give you any performance increase, but a 103 column marksheet will always take a while to load/save.

Again good point yes have run the re-index patch recently but thinking it might be worth another shot.
