How would I get a subject of 8 periods to span 2 options blocks of 4 periods each to display in the model?

Many thanks

The easiest way is to treat them like two classes and set them up as such in each. Using sub blocks within the block will get very messy very quickly.

So having 2 classes of 4 for the dual width subject? What impact would that then have on sims? Would it be a problem for reporting etc as it would come up as 2 classes when in fact it’s only 1?

That's what we did.

SIMS: you have to tick the box in curriculum assignment over two blocks instead of one.

Reporting and assessment, make sure the person who setups marksheets and profiles is aware, so they only tick one of the classes instead of both.

The other option would be to make the two option blocks into one linear block, split for all other classes 4/4.

Eg.

Dbl 8

Hi 4 Gg4

Fr4 Tx 4 etc

I wouldn't do this if I were you because there's no way (that I know of) to tell Nova you want to keep the two halves of the block separate. Also, although your big class will only exist once in SIMS, all your other classes will have confusing names.
