Help,

 

Bulb went on the projector, so purchased a new bulb,

turn it on and bulb lights up for a few seconds then goes off, then comes back on for a few seconds then goes off, does this several more times

then red status light comes on the power and bulb

 

seen this in other projectors when the bulb has died before you could reset the timers

but cant find a way round this one.

 

Projector is a Hitachi cp-a221n

Not really, doesn't give you time to do it

Sounds like overheating it is shutting down to protect itself.

 

Have seen this with faulty bulbs too brand new out of box.

 

Are fans working

Had exactly this with dodgy bulbs!
