Netbooks

Morning all,

 

We have cabinets full of Asus netbooks that are "starting" to have failing batteries, war wounds etc, and we have always had problems replacing them as the "netbook" 10" cheap laptop suddenly became Ultrabooks with a whacking great price attached and the netbook moniker just sort of went away.

 

I saw from the reports from BETT that Lenovo were bringing an education 11e netbooky type cheap laptop to market, but cannot find them anywhere

 

Anyone else have this problem? How do you refresh them with the category effectively gone or dwindling? Budget up to £250

Modern day alternatives would be Chromebooks or devices aimed at running Windows 10s mode.

We are an O365 environment, so Chromebooks wouldn't be a fit, as we don't have G-suite for Education(that is available to students anyway) and I've yet to see anything running Windows 10s

Chromebooks can be used with office 365 apps now. Windows S mode is still being made up as it goes along at the moment!

We got 30 Lenovo Miix 320-10ICR convertibles in a few months ago and I've been asked to get more. PITA to image (no ethernet) but so far have only had one "properly" fail.
