Hi All,

 

I have just installed Win10 ENT LTSB 1607 on a laptop and once joined to the Domain, search results are incomplete.

 

Both user and computer are in an OU without any GPO applied and inheritance blocked.

 

Local accounts are OK, but none of the Domain accounts work properly.

 

There are some results but not others (something like Paint will show, but Windows Update won't).

 

Quite a few suggestions via Google, but thought I'd ask incase there is a single point of failure well known to EDUGEEK (99.9% of whom will have a Domain joined estate).

You could try rebuilding the index on that machine via control panel.

 

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Indexing Options\Advanced\Rebuild

In the end it appears I didn't need to do anything!

 

I hadn't looked at the laptop as I was setting up some others, but I got back round to it today and it's returning searches fine now...

 

It does happen briefly on every new user, but seems to disappear quite quickly.
