Hi Edugeekers

I was not able to go to bett this year and was wondering what new tech there is for education, we currently investing in a 3d printer but looking for other ways of enhancing leaning

Thanks!!

There wasn't really anything new at BETT this year, some companies are still pushing VR but it's not quite there yet from the units I tested. I think this year will be good for updating older equipment ie. desktops and boards.

All I can remember seeing everywhere was lots of large touchscreens, 3D printers, more touchscreens and then more 3D printers and then a load of irrelevant stuff (teaching resources etc.)!

There were a lot of IWB/pseudo-IWB's on display this year. Which is great, because IWB's were exactly what I went down for (that, and free MS exams.)

Seeing a lot of (what basically amounts to) touchscreen telly's, or a (non-interactive) whiteboard/projector combo with some flavour of infrared tech so to facilitate the touch features.

Those are all things that have been on show for a few years now though, I wouldn't consider it new tech. The screens are a valid upgrade path from projector and IWB's though.
