timbo343 Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Our photography group are wanting to move to electronic portfolios and they've asked for bigger user areas. I have said i could expand them but have thought about either using OneDrive or OneNote. The two teachers will require access to the student portfolios. Is anyone doing this at the moment with either OneDrive or OneNote. I've not used OneNote before so a complete newbie but it's something that i'd be willing to have a go with.
Steve21 Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Personally photography is one of the few areas I wouldn't consider moving cloud based, as with photoshop/editting files etc you can be talking hundreds of megs per file which isn't going to be good for moving things back and forwards all day We have all photography students set to a higher quota by default, but are looking at getting a cheap/fat NAS drive just for a special photography dump zone. ModeratelyGruntled Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Hi We tried this with a small photography group. Definitely only for the VERY patient, even with only a small group trying to sync notebooks outside of school hours. If you've got a nice big fat connection to the intermenetz, then you might get better results, but with our LA provided connection we swiftly went back to local resources. The idea's great in principal though!
