genesis Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Hi I am going to buy subscription for our antivirus for 400 PCs.Our Finance department is asking if this antivirus licenses is for educational or non-educational They need to know this so that they can take from the correct budget. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks
Steve21 Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 Generically if I'm ever asked I do the "Does a teacher care" rule approach AV = No, ShinySoftware = Yes kind of thing. But it seems to depend very much on your LEA etc as to what they classify Steve 1
elsiegee40 Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 (edited) AV was classed as essential to the existence of the school network and therefore non-educational by my Bursar. The network generally was deemed a service to the school like water, electricity and gas. Edited February 6, 2018 by elsiegee40 1
