Jus recently have rolled out Unifi wireless at home. I had no issues the previous night but all of a sudden I've lost WiFi on my iPad Pro whereas my Android is fine. No updates were done either on the WiFi or the iPAD.

I didn't manage any troubleshooting as it was getting too late, but the iPad complains that is cannot see the network even if I am in the lounge where AP is :-( .

Anyone got any ideas.

Have you checked the Events in the unifi software for clues?

I'd do a hard restart on the iPad then try resetting Network Settings on the iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings)

Also try giving the iPad a static IP.

Are there any updates available though?

I have a similar setup at home (UniFi AP AC Pro + USG + iPad Pro running the latest firmware and iOS) and haven't had any issues recently.

It was getting a bit late in the night but will certainly be doing some troubleshooting when I get back.

I'm not sure giving a static IP address will work, it should still connect to the WiFi but is IP was an issue surely it would be telling me. I have 2 SSIDs available on different vlans and none would work. All the other devices work, ity's jus the iPad, I have a Gen2 iPad at home so going to try that as well.

Cheers.

Tried resetting the Network settings on the iPad but to no avail.

So it turned out to be the hidden network on the Unifi side. Once network was unhidden it joined no problem. Both my Andriod A3, Android S6, SmartPlugs and Amazon Echo work fine on the hidden network.

I had updated the iPad iOS about 2 weeks ago and been happily using the hidden network on the LinkSys LAPAC1200 ever since I installed 3 years ago and never had any issues till I implemented the Unifi

I know that a hidden SSID is poor security option on it's own but one of many implemented, it all helps IMO.
