Edu-IT Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Has anyone ever had a computer go to sleep when a Smartboard is pressed? If so, what was the solution?
atcoates Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 It definitely going to sleep not just the other screen taking over? Is picture duplicated?
Grey-gear Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 You could try a different computer with the smartboard to see if it is something the computer is doing.
Steve21 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Not that I've seen it recently but there used to be an issue with it when using USB cables if your USB port is set to allow machines to sleep/wake it, disabling that on the port would fix it. Might be worth a quick check Steve
rpain Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 We're also having the same problem on one of our machines. Touching the screen triggers the screensaver, though. We move the mouse then the laptop screen comes back on and the screen returns although Windows then needs to be unlocked. I'm glad I'm not the only one - I hope it's not going to start happening everywhere else.
