iPad Apps that require login / account creation - GDPR issue?

Hi all,

More and more iPad Apps are requiring users to sign in with accounts in order to use them. Because of this we're taking an in depth look at what iPad Apps require an account, as well as the T&C's and Privacy Policies that come with this. Some Apps allow you to sign in with an O365 or Google account (which as a school we already have), some require you to setup an account with the App company directly. How does this fit in with students (with us it's Reception age - Sixth Form) using them? Some of the Apps state that users under the age of 13 cannot use them, regardless of parental / teacher consent. Then there's the whole issue with student data, images and videos being uploaded to who knows where...

Can I please ask how other schools are tackling this issue.

Many thanks in advance!
