[1709, fcu] 'Ghost Apps' in 1709 Start Menu

Dear All,

 

On our machines that have upgraded to 1709 by themselves (Thanks Microsoft) they work ok, but there are issues with Apps that have been removed via powershell now appearing back on the start menu, but with only their App ID and a blank box;

 

Pending a google search which is next has anyone else discovered this 'feature'?

 

If you run the removal script again the same occours.

I'm seeing different results on different PCs with the same user[emoji17]

 

All deployed with the same wim from the same task sequence. On my laptop I get a blank space. On the one I did yesterday I see a tile with the app ID in it.

updated mine to 1709 (without wanting to) find that Applocker had blocked Edge. This was a legacy setting we had applied but a gpupdate /force did nothing and even checking my local gpedit there is no indication Applocker is doing anything. I tried a reset but this option removed Edge completely. I have now rolled back to 1607 and everything including remote desktop tools have come back.
