DJ-1701 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Yup, did mine this year. 2008 R2 to 2012 R2, though 2016 would have been fine. Only issue I had was that .NET wasn't at the latest version post upgrade so SIMS wouldn't load (not a problem if you install 2019 or maybe 2016). Installing the latest version fixed it fine. The amount of errors I got because of this! Oh boy... at least when you login it says that it's not on the latest version, but no dot net services work until this is installed.
mavhc Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 I just upgraded a 2008 server to 2012, and Server Manager wouldn't even load because it needed a new .net installing, let alone any SIMS software 1
