Looks like Sec1 are running some more Penetration Seminars. If you're able to get to Bristol, Newcastle, Leeds in the near future, i recommend you book yourself on the FREE day talk as it's very informative and such an eye opener.

Here's the email i got from them:

With Christmas and year end approaching I assume you will be busy now for the rest of the year so I wanted to let you know of some diarised events we have scheduled for 2018.

We have confirmed some dates and the locations for the Penetration Testing Training events taking place early in 2018.

Bristol – 26th January – Bristol FC – Ashton gate stadium

Newcastle – 9th February – Venue TBC

Leeds – 23rd February – Venue TBC

The Workshops are a demonstration of the OWASP Top 10 with live hacks using different skills and tools. XSS, SQL Injection, Domain Access are all covered. The whole day is free to attend, and we will also provide free food and refreshments.

Who is the course for?

· Those responsible for - or with an interest in - the security of web applications

· Those seeking to educate users on preventative measures against potential security issues

· Web developers (NB - This course is coding language diagnostic)

I must stress, it is not a sales day at all, and it is purely an educational event.

We are a data protection company. Our portfolio includes Penetration testing and scanning, Security Awareness Training, Firewalling (segmentation to protect specific data or at the gateway), encryption and crypto key management, access control through 2FA and testing employees awareness through phishing and social engineering.

A selection of what Sec-1 offers;

- Infrastructure Penetration Testing

- Web Application Security

- App Check (vulnerability scanner)

- Social Engineering (Physical & Phishing)

- Cyber Essentials Scheme

- PCI – Consultancy (QSA Work)

- ASV Scanning Service

- Firewalling (WatchGuard Platinum Partner)

- Two-Factor Authentication

- Encryption

- Training – Technical and Security Awareness

- GDPR – Preparation and related Products and Services

- Symantec.Cloud - (Other products available)

Please get in touch if you would like a seat for the event or if any of the above is relevant to you and you want to talk it through.

Enjoy the Christmas break (If you have one) and the New year and I will speak to you next year to get your seats arranged.

Thanks

Gareth Cave

I've attached the Bristol Flyer to this thread.

Bump.. The Leeds event I attended the other week was really good, they say no sales and they mean it. Well worth a trip if there's one near you.

I'm going to assume that that should say 'agnostic'... am looking into the Leeds event in Feb.
