DCUK6 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Long shot but hoping someone manages the heating. Just been asked to do some work on it as we have no site team. We have a Mitsubishi AE-200E and trying to get to grips with adjusting temps. We have a vent system which you can turn on or off in each room and air con units (the rectangle units in the ceiling). The only way ive found to heat up the rooms is to have the air con units running on heat. The ventilation doesnt seem to have any temp settings. Is this the correct way of doing things? Air con units for temp and ventilation for fresh air, is this right? It seems like every air con unit is off and only ventilation is working, think this is the caretakers being tight but its always cold in the building and everyone complains. Thanks.
Boredguy Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 The vents are normally to aid with either exchanging the air, or having it recirculate in the room. Our AC acts as the heating & cooling for the room (if the kids don't keep moving it from automatic) Or at least that's how the AC installers explained it may a year ago. 1

Should be heating to 22.c so i can make sure i know the labels are right and to see if its heating. They seem a bit weak even on full fan. Last heating system i got given had no labels, the only way we could tell as it was a really quiet and like a asthmatic mouse was to ramp up the temp to the max and walk round after an hour to see which were warm.
Boredguy Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 If you turn off the air exchangers you will find the room gets warmer a bit quicker as the AC is always having to heat the cooler air that has come in. I normally have the exchangers set to low speed so the AC doesn't have to work quite so hard
DCUK6 Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 Do you use the heat exchanger? Apparently 22c is ideal classroom temp. These were on a mild day like today are between 14-15.
