networkmangler Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 On the sims homepage in the top right there is a link called "Documentation". When we click it we get an error message saying "Documentation Index File missing.." Having googled the error, I found out that the file and documents it is looking for live on our sims share ie S:\sims\documentation When I copy the documentation folder to my local C drive ie C:\Program Files\Sims\Sims.net The link works fine. Is there a way that I can get that link to point to S:\sims\documentation? and if so can I easily apply that to all computers with sims installed?

networkmangler Posted December 4, 2017 Author Posted December 4, 2017 I have just checked and the SIMSDirectory=D:\SIMS\SIMS which is correct for the server but wrong for the workstations. It would need to be SIMSDirectory=S:\Sims I changed it on my computer and it worked Where is the information from the sims.ini coming from? we are using Solus 3 I can manually change it but if I do an upgrade I assume it would change back

We currently do not have any Sims.ini file pushed out from Solus3, but we do for connect.ini & fmsconnect.ini. If I add a sims.ini will the file that is pushed out from Solus also overwrite the ini file on the Sims server. I assume they have different paths in the file such as d:/Sims or S:/Sims Edited May 14, 2019 by TwistedHelixis
