What's your bandwidth usage?

This is our total upload/download per day for the past week.

We have 1,100-ish users. 1Gb up/down leased line.

 

What about others... what does you bandwidth usage look like?

Regularly pulling down 500gb, about a quarter again on upload. Similar user numbers.

Last week we did 14TB which is about average. We have about 3700 users and lots of BYOD. Also heavy users of Google Drive.

I’m always surprised that schools can use 1Gb leased lines ... and wonder what they are going to use that much...perhaps they all watch Netflix or something...although it’s even harder to justify what they are uploading. Often think that many schools with 100mb/s leased lines would do better with load balanced fttc and or cable modems..especially with virgin offering speeds is 350mb/s for much less than leased lines.
