How would you prefer your primary pupils to log into systems?

At Whizz, where I'm now working p/t, each child is given their own user name & password. I'm wondering if you have ideas on how this could be slicker from a school's perspective - would using AD to automatically log a child in help schools/pupils?

Is that as in https://www.whizz.com ?

For anything web based,I think you'll need at least two and ideally three options:

To cater for schools with no individual AD accounts, you'll need bulk upload and no restrictions on complexity. I find very young children take a while to get the hang of PIN style logins, but patterns or pictures don't integrate well with other login systems.

Next would be SSO with link to AD.

Then some kind of shibboleth based authentication.

The products that are easiest for me to manage are the ones that are automatically provisioned through some kind of link with MIS and credentials synchronised with AD.

Examples of this working for me are Google Suite and Purple Mash. The link in the middle is Groupcall [emoji3]

IDaaS has a lot of Primary- specific options to help schools (simple passwords, SSO, picture based passwords), that you would be able to use and plug into for your authentication
