neonetman Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Afternoon all, Finally had a breakthrough and got eh new SCCM up and working. I'm now migrating what we need from the old server to the new. I've found a couple of utilities that will update the source location in each package, and copy the source files to the new server. The issue I'm still trying to suss, is getting all the migrated content pointed to the new ditribution point - I can do it manually, however it'll be a major pain to have to do each individual package and driver package individually - is there a way of simply adding *every* package to the new dp automatically?
skell Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I personally would bite the bullet and do it manually. Gives you a chance to update anything or remove things you don't want to transfer across. Keeps everything nice and clean.
ADMaster Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Not the answer to the current problem, but to prevent it in the future... I created a DP group even though it only has one DP in it, then deploy all content to that DP Group. If I ever need to add another DP I'll add it to the group and it should pick up the content. 3
sparkeh Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I ended up doing it manually as I couldn’t find a reliable way to do automatically. The DP group idea is genius though [emoji3]
