Hi

Is anyone having issues with Smoothwall and Chromebooks authenticating? Our Internet has been intermittent today but this afternoon a student informed me they could access banned sites on the Chromebooks. When they log into the Chromebook if the shield is red in Chrome they can usually click on it and authenticate but now they get the following error:

Error: deleted_client

The OAuth client was deleted

or

Unable to retrieve authorization code.

We have had one offs where students have gone into My Account in their Gmail - Security Check Up - Third Party Access and deleted the Smoothwall certificate but this is happening with all our Chromebooks.

I've logged with Smoothwall who are unsure of why it is happening too. Anyone have any words of wisdom? Or a work around?

Thanks

Tracey

Hi Tracey,

Did you ever get a reply to this?

We've got some Chromebooks and I'm looking to set up the Google authentication on Smoothwall but wondered if you had got this resolved.

Thanks,

L

They ended up turning off Google Auth in the end. They still authenticated through Smoothwall. We've moved to Impero now to manage our Chromebooks as it lets the teachers see what students are up to as well.
