SCCM Resource ID cannot be retrieved from the database.

I have a problem with a PC coming up with the error: The machine name for Resource ID '' cannot be retrieved from the database.

 

I've just renamed the PC and the PC shows up in the device list with the new name but when i try to push the client out to it, it comes up with the above error.

 

I've looked to see if the PC is in the device list under the old name, or if anything else pops up with the same Resource ID but nothing :/

 

We have just moved over SCCM servers, and the old server does have it with the new name and the client, as the client was installed on it when i changed the name, but it's the client for the old SCCM and won't change to the new....

 

Anyone had a similar problem?

Yeh. I'd just delete the device in sccm and on rediscovery should be fine again
