Gongalong Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Hi folks, Trying to enable RDP on a mix of Win 10 and 7 clients. In the GPO, with these PCs in the scope, have enabled "Allow users to connect remotely by using Remote Desktop Services" (under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Connections). Yet still doesn't work. Domain firewall is off. Any ideas? Thanks
Linfit Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Is the username you are trying to connect with a member of the Remote Desktop Users group on the machines you are tryig to connect to ? 1
Gongalong Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 Definitely a member of the domain group "Remote Desktop Users".
Domino Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Definitely a member of the domain group "Remote Desktop Users". And is that group in the local 'remote desktop users' group? 1
Davit2005 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 What error messages do you get. i.e. Remote desktop not enabled, user not a member of Remote Desktop Users group?? 1
Gongalong Posted October 23, 2017 Author Posted October 23, 2017 Thanks all. Looked like it was a scope issue with the GPO. It was set to the relevant PCs, but missing "Authenticated Users".
