Onedrive Drag & Drop in IE11

Hello all,

 

Having issues with drag and drop in onedrive. Drag a folder to onedrive web interface and the "Drag items to any location" message appears, but there is no upload.

 

I have tried assigning the url to the trusted sites zone, but with no effect.

Iv noticed this recently when I was training some staff to use it. ie doesn’t seem to have the capability to upload a folder. Stupid really. Chrome does though. You will notice it also has an arrow next to upload with folder in the list

Functionality to upload folders is in Chrome or Edge only.

Thanks to all. Just to confirm it does not work in IE11.

 

Does work in chrome and firefox though.

Works absolutely fine for me. This is what I have set -

 

SharePoint site URL added to local Intranet, not Trusted Sites. Then follow this guide I've already posted, to add OneDrive as a network location.

 

Dragging to IE works as expected. Running Windows 10 1703, IE version 11.0.47.

You still cannot drag folders to IE, (only files) but you can drag folders to the network location (once configured).

Crazy isn't it though, with all the patches and updates MS still couldn't make one of their own browsers work with their own product better than their biggest rival.

 

Also it's not just devices inside the network we're talking about, it's when staff go home and use whatever browser opens first...

Usually Edge probably Chrome. I think they'd like to kill IE at some point and then put it in the store. Would be quite amusing having to deploy store for business to push out IE.
