ReverentCreature Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Hi all. I have been offered the opportunity to go on some training as a result of my last appraisal/PDR. Opportunities don't come along often but with budgets tight I'm not going to expect thousands to get a degree. At the same time I don't just want to go on a SIMS training course with EIS. So what's out there in the way of good affordable technical courses for Network Managers.
TomHD Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 ITIL is good, not too pricey and universally recognised
Norphy Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Do you know what kind of budget you're going to be given?
Scifigirl Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 we plan ours based on future projects - also after a few years we have got them to understand that proper classroom based training does cost more than a TA doing an inhouse training course. That said with 2 of us we mange to go on maybe 1 proper course between us every couple of years... EIS do have some network managery things you can sign up as an expression of interest - but they used NEOS training (NEOS IT Training Ltd) to do one of their GPO courses i went on and it wasn't too bad
