r0cketbev Posted May 4, 2018 Posted May 4, 2018 I would say yes as the cisco its self had ICT4C slapped on it. I believe that Vapour own the line that ICT4C used. The only stuff i heard from the administrators was that ICT4C had gone under and the would reconmend using Vapour. I know the school that I had with ICT4C have now gone on to use the reconmended provider from the LEA.

As a creditor of ICT4C vapour would only have a claim to the administrators not all customers of ITC4C.

Certainly the likes of Virgin will often ask for equipment back - it’s loaned to you. Whether it’s worth the hassle & cost of collecting it is another matter.
hallb15 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Sorry to dig up an old thread but I've searched my inbox and the usual places and can't find an answer to this. Anyone who's still using SEC, not Sophos Central, know what the correct source for updates is? I've still got the old yhgfl.net URL which doesn't work anymore.

We just 'update from sophos' using our reissued licence username and password. If you haven't got a reissued licence then I would email [email protected] sharpish. 1
hallb15 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Wow - it lasted that long? We just 'update from sophos' using our reissued licence username and password. If you haven't got a reissued licence then I would email [email protected] sharpish. I was told to leave it as is, and I forgot all about it since. We did get a new license schedule from Sophos, I still have that email stored safely, however it doesn't list any source for Sophos Update Manager to obtain its updates from. http://sophos.yhgfl.net/libraryv5r2 obviously doesn't work anymore! So I'm getting an error code 80040401 - Delivery failed for software subscription 'Recommended'. Access to the source update is denied or the location is otherwise unavailable.
tmoon-mint Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Just put Sophos in the source and all should be working fine. 1
IrritableTech Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 Yeah, in the HTTP or UNC path just pop 'Sophos' That's how ours is. 1
hallb15 Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I can't believe it was that simple! Thanks both of you.
hallb15 Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Well the 5 year deal is almost up and our license runs out on 12th March 2021. Has anyone else received a quote for renewing/moving over to Central (if you haven't already)? Recommendations for other anti-virus/malware solutions?
BKCAT_ASH Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Same situation for us - we have had a quote for central, its quite expensive per year depending on the size of the schools - has anyone any other recommendations on AV... not everyone uses Sophos surely...
hallb15 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 I obtained a quote from Sophos via VeryPC. They are offering a 3-year deal for ex-YHGfL customers which is very competitive compared to others at todays prices. I've already signed up and started rolling it out - it is so much simpler than SEC! I spoke to Wayne Southey at Sophos (let me know if you want contact details) who released the deal pricing to VeryPC. 1
