elsiegee40 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 I have a HP LaserJet CP1025 currently which has done sterling service at home for several years. It has a nice compact footprint - doesn't take up much desk space - hasn't been atrociously expensive on consumables - and is reasonably quick... especially as I have it double installed with a mono default. The Toner Drum finally needs replacing which looks like setting me back £70, so it's probably time to consider whether replacing the entire printer is more economic. Has anyone got any suggestions for an up-to-date alternative?

elsiegee40 Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 I forgot to add that this my husband is currently contracting so his business can buy a new one which is tax effective ...
newpersn Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) Just brought 2 of these: https://www.ebuyer.com/741649-hp-pagewide-pro-452dw-wireless-inkjet-printer-d3q16b-a81 Seem to be alright so far. (only had them a month) Edit: If he only prints little a month would it not worth looking at the instant ink printers? (300 pages for £8 a month) Edited October 19, 2017 by newpersn 1

A laser is the way to go here Coudnt temp you with this one: Buy HP OfficeJet Pro 8718 Wireless Inkjet Printer with Fax & Instant Ink 500 Page Monthly Print Plan | Free Delivery | Currys Included with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8718 is a 13 month, 500 page plan with HP Instant Ink, providing a total of 6,500 pages of prints or photos. You'll be able to print colour or monochrome pages or photos and save up to 70% on ink. Would it not be worth looking at leasing? Edited October 19, 2017 by newpersn 1
3s-gtech Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) We have an HP Laserjet colour 200 M251 here. Older model now, but it seems pretty decent. Doesn't do very hard service but has gone through a couple of sets of toner now, though genuine refills are farily pricey. I should add - what I like about this model is that it doesn't seem to use up the colour toner when doing mono prints, as some do (like some Lexmarks, bizarrely).
