TechMonkey Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 For those that have to deal with timetables or are data managers, what do you do about games lessons? I think our quandary is more a need to change how we do things, rather than technical, but would like to consult the hive mind. It looks like our timetabling for games has been created as one set for the whole year and staff assigned as assisting teaching staff. On the timetable this works as it shows all the staff as teaching that one set at the same time. For reports it is less than ideal as all the pupils are in one big pot and staff will have to just pick out the pupils they teach. The added fun is that Games sets change regularly, worst case termly often quicker. So how is yours done? Per set, big year group sets some other method?
bobsmith Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 just like any other subject - it classes of less than 30 and based on who is actually teaching them. If there are set changes then our admin staff do them. It can be a chore if they change more often than any other subject but it's the "right" way of doing things. I presume your PE department don't take electronic lesson registers?
