Hello.

I'm having problems getting the lead and follower devices to see each other.

School WiFi managed by Ruckus.

Teacher iPad and student iPods managed by MDM (don't know specifics).

All devices go through Global HTTP Proxy (even when home, my iPad goes through school server) as specified in the MDM. I believe this is managed by Rocket/Lightspeed.

Test 1: at school, all devices connect to internet OK. iPad doesn't see follower iPods. It may for a second, and then doesn't see again (on/off, on/off).

Test 2: I setup a basic Linksys router at home, factory defaults, no internet. Teacher iPad and follower iPods don't see each other. Only for a second or so off/on and so on. Same as in school WiFi.

Test 3: Personal iPad and personal iPhone (non MDM managed) not associated with school. I connected both to the Linksys and it works perfectly.

My theory is that the Global HTTP Proxy as specified in the MDM Policies is preventing the school devices from seeing each other.

I'm guessing turning Global HTTP Proxy off is not an option (so school can monitor all traffic).

Any way to confirm this is the case? Any tips?
