timbo343 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Is there a way to configure HAP to look at email addresses as usernames listed in AD under USER LOGON NAME and look at USER LOGON NAME (Pre-Windows 2000)? This would be useful so users could sign in with either their email address or logon name.
Colindean2000 Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 I am looking for the answer to this question also... anyone have any idea? Thanks
timbo343 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 BUMP, @nickbro - are you able to help us out on this please? It seems wrong to ask users to login to their emails using their email address and just their username to login to the HAP system. You can even enter your email address and password to login to a windows 10 machine these days rather than just the username,
Boredguy Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Errm, I can log in to HAP using my e-mail address without any problems. Our UPN Suffix is our e-mail domain name (ie school.county.sch.uk), and our e-mail address always uses the Users Logon name and our UPN Suffix.
timbo343 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 this is what i get when i use my email address instead of my username:
timbo343 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 Our UPN suffix is the same as our external domain as this needs to be set so users can login to O365 seemlessly.
maeday85 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 This really wont help you, but its working fine for my install. I didnt configure anything specifically for this. Our users can login with sAMAccountName or their UserPrincipalName. Do note however they have to type the full upn and not just whats written in the "user logon name" field.
