Another political issue on site... Management have removed all clocks from classrooms (no idea why) but now teachers are stinking up a fuss over it.

Apart from the digital clock on the task-bar, how else could we display a clock on all desktops with minimal effort and technical resources.

Only thing to be careful of - if management have for some reason decided to remove all clocks, do you really want to undo whatever it is they're trying to do by putting analogue clocks on all the PCs?

They've requested the desktop versions.... weird I know...

All our classroom wall clocks are the readio-controlled type. That was a decision years ago after lots of pranks by students putting clocks forward, etc. Perhaps what's happened is that management have decided to purge clocks that can be manually moved forward or back, and want clocks that are all reliably correct.

Atomic clocks are fine unless you work in a building like mine where the 16th century brickwork stops the flippn clocks from syncing...

We wrote a little taskbar app (one .exe and one .ini) that ties in with the bells and also turns red when there is 5 mins left before the next lesson/bell. Teachers love it

That is rather cool!

Does it do the Countdown music when the last minute is left?

Sadly not, that would be far to clever and just a little annoying after the first couple of times....

Turning red is as radical as it gets!!!

I am however dining out on you calling it cool until at least BETT :)

This is basically what I want in a Pebble watchface: what part of the timetable are we in and how long left until the next bell. Sadly I don't have the skills to throw one together.
