Inbir316 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 right i posted a thread about this site before and that problem was solved, however we have the popup blocker causing a problem. the students can accept the site though but its annoying if each student ahd to do that. is there a way of having it so when the administrator sets the popup blocker to accept the site it will work for all users? we did try it with administrator in the microsoft popup blocker but logging in as a test student it didnt save the setting. just wondering if im missing something or if this could be a ranger issue. we're using windows xp just to let you know and thanks in advance
antoeknee Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Log on to a machine as a student accept the site popups. Logoff and copy the profile to the ranger directoty and set to .MAN. All users should then recieve exactly the same setup i.e wallpaper, desktop icons and options in things like IE. Make sure you have delete profile on logoff set as well
Ric_ Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I believe there is also a section in Group Policy for setting these things. 1
steve Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 You can allow certain site pop-ups via a GPO: User configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Pop-up allow list I have the following listed for testingforschools.com: testingforschools.com web00.testingforschools.com web01.testingforschools.com web02.testingforschools.com web03.testingforschools.com http://www.testingforschools.com 2
