[sims] Close SIMS after x time

Something that has really bugged me for a while is users leaving SIMS open when they've left their desk. We have tried getting staff to lock their machines after x mins of idle but that hasn't worked well and tried telling them to close SIMS when not at their machine.

 

Well, now i've modified a little script from here DONE: IdleClose - exit certain programs after x minutes of idle time - DonationCoder.com. It needs Auto Hot Key installing on machines but i was thinking that this could run when at startup for a user session meaning when the machine was idle, SIMS would automatically close .

Why not use the timeout to password lock the Windows screensaver? This shouldn't just apply to SIMS, it should apply to any application which could contain sensitive information.

I am pretty sure there is a timeout command which can be put in the connect.ini file?

100% Not difficult to set as a group policy and it protects EVERYTHING!

That's for how long SIMS waits before it retries ( or more likely) \ gives up communicating with the SQL database. So how long will it wait from you clicking the button to the server responding before it fails. So its machine timeout not user timeout.
