Allowing a year 12 student to attend a year 13 lesson

Hi,

 

I was wondering whether anyone can help me with trying to assign a year 12 students to year 13 lessons in sims?

You'd need to relax the academic management rules and assign them to the Y13 base band, then you will be able to assign Y13 classes. You'll likely have a clash or 2 to resolve though!

We've done that in the timetable and in SIMS timetable you get one class code and a red 2 in the corner which when clicked shows both classes. Essentially year 12 tech pupils share the classroom and teacher with Y13 for 2/3 lessons.

Open Curriculum Assignment by Student.

 

Click Add Scheme.

 

Search for the band containing the scheme and add it.

 

Click Relax.

 

Assign the student to the relevant class.

 

Scroll down to the Timetable section.

 

Look for clashes and resolve them with the tick boxes at the bottom when you click on a red period.

 

Click Save.
