Is there anyway of stopping extended displays becoming the default? Currently have three new HP laptops on Win10 Education, connected up to projectors on duplicate displays and every time the projector is froze or the laptop shutdown and restarted they switch back to extended display. Have tried setting it on local admin and domain admin but still no joy.

Thanks

It could be being set by Intel graphics manager or nVidia if you've got it installed? Have you checked HKLM registry for extra display keys info? Tried reset to using microsoft only video drivers?

Go to the properties of your graphics card software if installed (if not install it for the appropriate card) and set it to Mirror the displays.

The setting should stick.
